Argalios is a family-run workshop that creates handmade bags, clutches, and pouches on the loom, blending authentic Greek tradition with a contemporary aesthetic.

Our story began in 2011, in the home of Ilias and Katerina Politis, when a children’s loom—given as a gift for their six children—became the starting point for something much greater. Through the joy of creating, a passion for the handmade, and a love for Greek tradition, a deep connection to the art of weaving was born.

Inspired by traditional Greek motifs and designs from every corner of the country, the Politis family began creating original woven accessories, made entirely by hand from start to finish. Each creation carries time, care, and respect for the art of the loom.

In 2013, the founding of Argalios gave new life to this family endeavor, opening the way to share our vision with a wider audience. Remaining faithful to the fully handmade nature of our products—from the initial design to the packaging—we continue to create pieces with authenticity, quality, and soul.

Today, Argalios speaks to people who appreciate the uniqueness of handmade craftsmanship, recognize the value of time and skill, and seek products with story and substance.
